50. I was previously employed with Saluda County DSS as a Foster Care Case Manager. I love helping our students

What Services can be provided to you and your family?
Attendance/Truancy and Attendance Court Referrals
In order for our students to complete the required grade level curriculum, they must demonstrate
competency in their content classes and meet attendance requirements.

McKinney-Vento Liaison (Program for displaced students and families)
The federal McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act defines children and youth who lack a fixed,
regular, and adequate nighttime residence as homeless. This includes children and youths who:
*Share the housing of other persons due to loss of housing, economic hardship, or a similar reason also
know as doubled up.
*Living in motels, hotels, trailer parks, camping grounds due to lack of alternative adequate
accommodations.
* Living in emergency or transitional shelters
* Abandoned at hospitals.
*Have a primary nighttime residence that is a public or private place not designed for, or ordinarily used
as, a regular sleeping accommodation for human beings.
* Living in cars, parks, public spaces etc.
* Migratory children who qualify as homeless because they are living in circumstances described above.
* Unaccompanied youth who qualify as homeless because they are living in circumstances described
above.

* Outside Mental heath counseling
* Medical homes
* Food bank services
* Housing Assistance
* Public Housing
* Financial Assistance (Rent, Electricity, etc.)
* Healthy learners program
* Boys and girls program
* Megs House
* Pathway House
Weekend Food Bag Program:
Provided by a local church once a week for students that could use a little extra food for the
weekend and have inquired about the program
